A film is also called a movie, motion picture, theoretical or photo play, is a series of still images which when shown on screen creates the illusion of moving images due to phi phenomenon. There are many kinds of movie fans: the casual weekenders just trying to kill some time and hopefully get a few hours of mindless entertainment; those that come to appreciate the art of film making; and, rarer still, those that are so obsessed with movies and every little fact that they could easily mouth along with every line of movies that don't even make their top 10. The latter category are the folks that are absolutely crushing the movies section at group trivia—and probably the only people who'd already know these 33 crazy movie facts...
  1. While shooting the snow mountain scene for Lord of Rings, Sean Bean climbed the mountains to reach the sets.  In order to shoot the scene the crew had to be helicoptered to the sets. But Sean Bean succumbing to his fear of flying, chose the difficult path and took whole two hours to climb the mountains.
  2. In the movie Mad Max: Fury Road, the famous flame guitar "Sean Hape" used in film weighed 132 pounds, was gas powered and was activated by pushing the guitar's whammy bar.    
  3. In the Dark Knight, the part where the joker is fidgeting with the remote was a natural reaction. The hospital set was timed to get blown off with some other technology and of course not by joker's remote. What had happened was that the hospital set did not suffer the blast by the pre-decided time. However joker being in his character fully, made it appear as though it was due to faulty remote in his hand that was causing the delay in the blast.                                                                     
  4. Iron Man: A 16 year old Robert Downey Jr. got suspended from high school for ripping up a classmate's Iron Man comic book and calling him a nerd.
  5. In the movie Interstellar, except for the scenes involving space (the wormhole, Gargantua, etc), all other scenes were shot in real environments. Even the cockpit was built specifically for the film.
  6. The movie I AM LEGEND featured a billboard for fictional Batman vs Superman movie, included because the writer of Legend also wrote an early draft of Batman vs Superman.
  7. Assassin's Creed:  Damien Walters performed a 125 foot free fall for the film-one of the highest free falls in 35 years.
  8. The Silence of the Lambs: Anthony Hopkin's performance became one of the shortest lead (16 minutes) performance to win an Oscar.
  9. The rotating dream set in Inception, in which Arthur is fighting the hotel security, was in fact a rotating set.
  10. Captain America: Civil War, Ant man is boosted by an arrow from Hawkeye in a scene that is inspired by The Avengers #233 comic.                                                                                              
  11. The Lion King: Pumbaa was the first Disney character ever to fart on screen.
  12. Remember Happy Hogan in Iron Man(2008)? Tony Stark's assistant was none other than the director of the film!
  13. In Terminator 2(1991), Linda Hamilton who played the mother forgot to put her earplugs on during one scene. When  Arnold shot off a shotgun blast in the elevator at close range, the massive blank blast caused her permanent hearing damage.
  14. Star Wars: Every movie in the series has included the line "I have a bad feeling about this."
  15. Saving Private Ryan: $12 million of the $70 million spent to make this film was used to create Omaha Beach Scene.
  16. In Terminator 2, Linda Hamilton's T-1000 clone is actually played by her twin sister.
  17. The Wilhelm Scream first appeared in 1951's Distant Drums, and has since appeared in over 250 films.
  18. Arnold Schwarzenegger was paid approximately $21,429 for every one of the 700 words he said in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (In 1991).                                                                                  
  19. In Saving Private Ryan all the main cast was given basic military training except Matt Damon in the hope that the cast would build a resentment towards him necessary for the role.
  20. Django Unchained is the first time in 16 years that Leonardo DiCaprio didn't get the top billing. 
  21.  Hawkeye: Jeremy Renner trained with Olympic archers in order to prepare for is role in Marvel films.
  22.  Sean Connery turned down roles in The Matrix, The Lord of the Rings, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones 4 and Blade Runner.
  23. In Harry Potter Alan Rickman was the only person other than J.K. Rowling to know Snape was defending Harry because he was in love with Lily Potter to make his performance genuine.
  24. No physical Clone Trooper armor or helmets were produced for Star Wars prequel films. All of the Clone Troopers were CGI.
  25. Heath Ledger almost broke Jake Gyllenhaal's nose by grabbing his head and kissing him too hard in Brokeback Mountain.
  26. Pixar's UP  was first ever animated film and 3D film to open the Cannes Film festival.                        
  27. The Dark Knight: Heath Ledger filmed and directed the threat videos himself in the film.               
  28. The movie Talladega Nights was completely funded by the many on-screen ads and product placements.
  29. John Wick: Reeves performed 90% his own stunts and did 4 months of martial arts training to prepare for film.
  30. Bruce Lee's techniques were so quick that the film had to be slowed down in order to see his moves and strikes.'
  31. Fight Club: There is a Starbucks in every scene of the movie.
  32. Jackie Chan has received over 20 film related injuries, including a fractured skull, pelvis dislocation, and a damaged spine!
