20 Craziest Laws In The World That Still Exist - Not A Myth
Although there seem the be a lot of crazy laws in every corner of the world, some of them have since been re-written or removed, while some, strangely enough, still exist. Whether you’re from France, Japan, Britain or the United States, there’s bound to be at least one law which has been ignored since its creation.

1. Placing Salt On A Railway Track
Placing salt on a railway track is an offense punishable by the death penalty in
Birmingham (City in England). At first glance, this seems a tad harsh. But the reason is that the train could either derail or attract cattle onto the track, which could also result in a major derailment or at least a delay. So don't go putting salt on the rails, kids.
2. Playing Frisbee In Los Angeles
It's against the law to play a game of frisbee without first acquiring the permission of a lifeguard in
Los Angeles - although responsible frisbee throwing is, we are told, permitted.
3. Illegal To Make Faces At A Dog
According to this law, in
Oklahoma, you can be fined and jailed for making mean, ugly, and funny faces at a dog.
4. Being Overweight Is Illegal
This is a strange one considering sumo wrestlers come from
Japan but apparently, being overweight is illegal in this country. They have a law they call ‘the metabo law’ that says if you are over the age of 40, your waist line shouldn’t be over 32 inches for women and 36 inches for men.
5. Having your chickens cross the road in Georgia
If you own any chickens in Quitman,
Georgia, it's illegal to let them cross the road. Simply put, the law essentially wants owners to have their chickens under control at all times.
6. Twins Can't Work For The Same Company
In
Hawaii, it is illegal to work at the same company as twin brother or sister. We guess this law is in place to avoid workplace confusion as to who is doing what and who has take the day off.
7. It Is Illegal To Die In Parliament
If you start to get sick inside Parliament, they make you leave because it is illegal to die in Parliament. This is because it is technically a Royal Palace and anyone who dies here is entitled to a
state funeral.
8. Chewing Gum Is Illegal

Singapore, you are not only not allowed to chew gum but you are not allowed to bring it into the country. There is an exception, however, nicotine gum is allowed only if a doctor prescribes it for you. You also get fined for spitting gum out on the street. This law was created back in the 19th Century and apparently created to protect the dairy industry. However, if it were to be enforced now, people who get caught with it can spend 6 months in jail for having it. Wow!

Greece, it is illegal to go sightseeing around the ancient ruins wearing high heels.
11. Illegal To Name Your Pet Pig Napoleon

France it is illegal to name your pet pig Napoleon.
12. Keeping A Lone Goldfish

Rome, Italy, keeping a lone goldfish in a fish bowl is considered animal cruelty and is against the law. But if you have more than one in the bowl, that is considered acceptable, because, as we all know fish are sociable creatures.
13. Illegal To Wrestle Bears
Although bear wrestling used to be pretty popular, if you live in
Alabama, you won’t be able to do this anymore; as it is now illegal and has been since 2006. If you are getting money from bear wrestling or if you get caught selling, possessing, or training a bear for wresting, you will be thrown in jail.
14. Don’t Pay For Your Meal Unless You Are Full
Denmark doesn’t make you pay your restaurant bill unless you get filled up from eating the food. This is a good law isn't it?
15. Illegal to Wear a Bullet Proof Vest While Committing Murder

New Jersey, if you are plan on committing a crime like, say, murder, manslaughter, robbery or pretty much anything else, don't wear a bullet proof vest, 'cause, you know, after all, you wouldn't want to break the law.

Hong Kong, there’s a law that allows a wife to kill her husband if she finds him cheating. However, she must kill him with her bare hands.
20. Illegal To Fart In A Public Place

Florida, it’s illegal to fart in a public place after 6pm on a Thursday.
